IN CELEBRATION OF.....

All to often people are celebrated after they pass away. That was not the case on August 20 2008 when family and friends gathered to celebrate Dorothy Canon's 70th birthday. Dorothy was lead to a auditorium thinking that she was going to speak about breast cancer to a group of people. She had no idea that loved ones were waiting to give her the surprise of her life. As a photographer, I attend a lot of award ceremonies, presentations, and parties but this was truly a CELEBRATION in every sense of the word. After getting over the initial shock, Dorothy made the rounds, to all the tables and thanked all of the 150+ in attendance stopping only twice when she was overwhelmed by her emotions and the love that filled the hall. Although I was there to document the event. I could feel the genuine admiration and love that everyone felt for her. She was showered with songs, praise and gifts. As a result the evening caused me to pause & re-think some things... We all should be so fortunate!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT DOT!!! (Yes I have been adopted)

"ORDINATION AT MOUNTAIN TOP"

I was 1st to call my friend who I called Dee back then "PASTOR"
During some troubling times in my life we would stay up talking till the early hours of the am. One early am we were having one of our marathon conversations and I could see the anointing touching the top of her head then being translated into the words that came from her mouth. Seriously joking, I said something like "Ok Pastor I Hear You" ...
That was over two years ago, since that then she has graduated seminary school, achieved a degree in counseling, diligent, dedicated, determined, strong in mind & faith.
On July 27 2008 family and friends came together from as far as Ohio to witness the appointment of
Elder Mary Holloway of
Mountain Top Christian Church
Richmond VA
*Bishop C.Johnson Pastor & Co Pastor E.Johnson*

Congratulations Dee! Oops!... Elder Holloway

G S P

I created this logo with the intentions of starting a business for myself doing something that I enjoy. It has been a challenge trying to make it work but
I believe that it will. I have been a all over the Internet looking at other
photographers and their work. I must say that there are some talented photographers (most of them blog) out there. Some of them are truly inspiring. Photography is like any art form, you know its right when it touches something within yourself and others. With that being said, this is the beginning of my blog. There will be some gaps as I get started, but I hope people will become interested and check back from time to time. I in courage you to drop me a line and tell me what you think or just strike up a conversation about your interests. Until then.
PEACE
